At Beau Soleil, we believe it’s what you do that counts. From character-building challenges and community service projects to alpine adventures and global expeditions, we offer an unparalleled range of experiences that shape our students’ futures.
Beau Soleil is a school where our students’ experiences are beyond those of an ordinary boarding school.
Extraordinary experiences beyond the classroom make Beau Soleil a truly unique place to live and learn.
At Beau Soleil, we offer something different to most traditional boarding schools. Through an unparalleled range of adventurous activities, international trips, and learning opportunities, we inspire every student to pursue their passions and embrace new experiences.
From the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro to the streets of New Orleans, the glaciers of Patagonia to the coral reefs of the Maldives, our students discover the world on a series of life-changing trips. These experiences immerse them in diverse cultures and environments, creating memories and bonds that last a lifetime.
Adventurous activities abound throughout the year, too, including whitewater rafting, skydiving, and alpine climbing.
Our students learn to ski or snowboard – or hone their existing skills and compete – through our Winter Sports Programme. In summer, our location provides the backdrop to an exhilarating outdoor education programme. We organise a series of whole-school challenges, too, which bring our community together and demonstrate our students’ determination and resilience.
Focused Professional Learning Programmes also give our learners the chance to gain practical qualifications and skills. These include the opportunity to become a certified ski instructor or qualified bike mechanic. Aspiring entrepreneurs can get involved in one of our student-led businesses, too, which include the school’s ‘17g Coffee’ brand.
Each week, more than 90 different after-school activities give our students the opportunity to discover new passions and develop their talents. Our carefully curated co-curricular programme includes hip-hop dance, debating, baking, and bird watching clubs. We also offer a host of sports, ranging from tennis and swimming to yoga and Taekwondo.
We love a challenge at Beau Soleil. Throughout the year, our community comes together for a series of seven events, which include summiting a mountain in the dark and tackling a 10km or 20km run. Each challenge instils a sense of belief and confidence in our students, as well as showing them that they can succeed at anything they put their mind to.
Our diverse performing and visual arts programme gives every student an outlet for creativity and self-expression. Through our collaboration with The Juilliard School, aspiring actors, performers, and musicians immerse themselves in activities that inspire lifelong passions. After-school clubs, LAMDA qualifications, concerts, and our school production also provide opportunities to shine.
Our commitment to internationalism extends beyond the Beau Soleil campus, as our students discover the world on extraordinary community service, cultural, adventure, and academic enrichment trips. From working alongside coffee farmers in Ethiopia to river rafting in Patagonia, each awe-inspiring expedition has a profound impact on our learners – broadening their horizons and opening hearts and minds.
Our outdoor education programme is packed with exhilarating adventures. From mountain climbing to canyoning, cross-country skiing to canoeing, our students push themselves beyond their comfort zone, overcome challenges, and work as a team. This builds confidence and resilience, and develops vital future-ready skills, such as leadership and communication.
Our Winter Sports Programme offers something for everyone, enabling students of all ages and abilities to make the most of our unique alpine location. Just a stone's throw away from our campus, our young people finesse their ski and snowboard skills each week during winter. We also offer a variety of ski disciplines, including downhill racing, freestyle, Nordic, and touring, plus snowshoeing, ice climbing, and more.
“The many challenges and experiences we offer are designed to push our students outside of their comfort zone, developing their confidence, resilience, and self-belief.”
Tucked away in an idyllic alpine village – and surrounded by magnificent mountain peaks, verdant pine forests, and big skies – our campus is an inspiring place to live and learn. Specialist art, design, and music spaces, outstanding sports facilities, and cutting-edge interactive technology bring learning to life. Our close knit international community, meanwhile, is truly unique, providing a supportive and inspirational setting in which to live and learn.
